Born in Wyoming, Charlene grew up to love animals especially horses as you might expect from a native of the Cowboy State. Today, she is the loving owner of a beautiful horse. Lizzy, a Fox Trotter, she keeps in Oklahoma so she can take relaxing rides on the weekend.
Charlene maintains close relationships with her two sisters, Julie a former marketing professor at ORU and Lindy who resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. All three are devoted daughters to their parents who live in Scottsdale, Arizona. She also spends summers in the Wyoming mountains where she visits her 93-year-old grandmother.When asked about ORU, where she has been on staff since 2004, Charlene comments, "It is God's university, and I count it a privilege to work with these wonderful students. My mission is to help students get out and fulfill their missions from God. They will go out and transform the world. I truly love my job."
