Dr. Jeremy Wallace has dedicated over three decades to Christian ministry and higher education, impacting lives across eighteen countries and teaching more than fifty undergraduate and graduate courses. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Humanities, Dr. Wallace offers a diverse range of courses, including Wisdom of the Ancient World, Learning from the Late Middle Ages, Christian Worldview, Culture & Apologetics, History of Apologetics, and Communication Ethics.
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Wallace moved to Tulsa in the mid-nineties to attend Oral Roberts University (ORU). During his undergraduate years, he was actively involved in the Spiritual Life Department, serving as a student chaplain, spiritual life dorm director, and European Regional Coordinator in the ORU Summer Missions department. He earned his B.A. in Biblical Literature in 1998, receiving the “Outstanding Senior Paper” distinction and the “Exegesis Award.” He continued his education at ORU Graduate School of Theology and Missions and studied abroad at Jerusalem University College in 2000, completing his Master of Divinity degree in Spring 2001.
Dr. Wallace returned to Oregon and joined the pastoral staff at Canby Foursquare Church, where he served for seventeen years. During his tenure in Oregon, Dr. Wallace also taught at Canby Bible College, serving as Dean for twelve years. In 2008, he began working as an adjunct professor with Life Pacific University, Northwest University, and The King’s University and Seminary. He completed his doctorate (D.Min.) from Western Seminary in Portland, OR, in 2009, focusing his dissertation on transformational outcomes in Christian higher education. From 2015-2017, he pursued post-doctoral studies in philosophical theology and apologetics with South African Theological Seminary and recently earned an M.A. in Humanities from American Public University.
In 2017, Dr. Wallace and his family relocated to Tulsa, where he founded Kerygma21, a nonprofit education and Christian apologetics ministry. He remains an ordained minister in the Foursquare denomination and planted a Foursquare missional congregation in South Tulsa in 2019. Dr. Wallace began teaching at ORU in 2020.
Dr. Wallace is actively engaged in scholarship, serving on the executive committee of the Foursquare Scholars Fellowship (FSF) and as the founding editor of Quadrum: Journal of the Foursquare Scholars Fellowship. He is a member of several academic societies, including the Society for Pentecostal Studies, the International Society of Christian Apologetics, the Evangelical Theological Society, the Association of Practical Theology, and the Evangelical Philosophical Society. His notable publications include Serving God and Man: An Introduction to Christian Ministry (2005), Measuring Change: Transformational Outcomes in Christian Education (2017), and Thoughts for Thinking: Devotional Theology for Everyday Life (2023).
Dr. Wallace and his wife, Rebeka, are passionate about Christian discipleship, educational ministry, and leadership development. They enjoy Netflix-binging, reading books, and taking road trips with their four children.
