The following list of 2019-2020 scholarships and discounts are for incoming doctoral and Ph.D. students. All awards are subject to change.


PREMIER SCHOLARSHIPS

Each of our graduate schools offers unique fellowships as vacancies arise. These awards cannot be combined with other scholarships from ORU. For more information on these opportunities, connect with your Gradute Enrollment Counselor today.

Graduate Fellow 100% tuition coverage (year-round when enrolled full-time) Includes a $15,000 annual stipend
Dean's Scholarship $10,000 tuition scholarship ($5,000 for the fall semester and $5,000 for the spring semester) Includes assistantship for office duties
Graduate Eduaction Champion Scholarship* $7,000 per year ($3,500 for each fall and spring semester). Summer Institute: $2,500 Includes assistantship as a Graduate Education Representative
Theology Ph.D. Fellows Up to 100% tuition year-round as determined by Ph.D. program As awarded by Ph.D. program.

 

ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIPS
This scholarship cannot be pro-rated for part-time enrollment.

GRADUATE SCHOOL AMOUNT RENEWAL GPA ELIGIBILITY
Education $350/Semester 3.0 Must be a graduate of ORU and a full-time graduate student in the Graduate School of Education.
Theology and Ministry $500/Semester 3.0 Must be a graduate of ORU and a full-time graduate student in the Graduate School of Theology and Ministry.

 

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS: GRADUATE SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
The following awards may not be pro-rated for part-time enrollment. If you are not awarded an academic scholarship upon admission to the Graduate School of Education, you will be eligible for a $700 annual scholarship awarded after the successful completion of 12 graduate (master's not leveling) hours with a 3.0 GPA.

The following awards may be pro-rated for part-time enrollment. If you are not awarded an academic scholarship upon admission to the Graduate School of Theology and Ministry, you will be eligible for a $1,000 annual scholarship awarded after the successful completion of 12 graduate (master's not leveling) hours with a 3.2 GPA.

CHRISTIAN SCHOOL SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships from the Graduate School of Education and cannot be pro-rated for part-time enrollment.

$3,000 per year ($1,500 each for fall and spring semester)

$1,500 for Summer Institute 

$400 towards Doctoral Dissertation

3.5 To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a student within the Graduate School of Education who is serving full-time at a Christian school.

 

MILITARY DISCOUNT
The discount may be pro-rated for part-time enrollment.

Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber This scholarship is awarded to Hispanic students residing in the state of Oregon or Clark County, Washington who are enrolled in an accredited college or university.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund This fund provides the Latino community more college scholarships and educational outreach support than any other organization in the country. It offers many different types of scholarships to Hispanic students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees.
American Association of University Women This is a graduate fellowship with information on advancing the education and rights of girls and women.
