Carolyn Stubbs is currently a doctoral candidate in the Educational Leadership program in the College of Education. She graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Education from Lee University, Bahamas. As an educator and mother of three daughters, Carolyn is passionate about the holistic development of the next generation. She is co-founder of the Remnant MiniVarsity & Academy, a nursery to Grade 6 School located in Nassau, Bahamas. Her faith in God provides her with the impetus and inspiration to always strive for excellence. She presently serves as the President’s Fellow at Oral Roberts University and works in the office of the Provost.

Carolyn is our first ORU College of Education Holmes Scholar. She is also a member of Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, North American Association of Christians in Social Work, and American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. Her study interests include equity and justice within learning spaces, and the development of critical consciousness among faculty and students. Carolyn is presently working on her dissertation which focuses on the development of critical consciousness in educators.
