ORU Ranked in Best College Online Programs

Tulsa, OK – AffordableCollegesOnline.org released its lists of Best College Online Programs and Oral Roberts University is honored to have five of its degree programs included.

ORU’s online Christian Counseling program is number two on the list of Best Online Christian Counseling Programs. ORU is the only Oklahoma Institution on the list. The degree in Christian caregiving and counseling qualifies students for a number of careers, including teaching, chaplaincy, research, pastoral care, and counseling. AffordableCollegesOnline.org listed several other ORU online degrees in their lists, including Political Science, Theology, and Communication. All three programs ranked in the top 20 of their respective lists.

ORU was also recognized as having one of the best Military Friendly online programs, ranking 34th and being one of only three Oklahoma schools on the list. ORU’s online programs give active military and veterans the tools to be successful through flexible academic schedules, small class sizes, and ease of access to counseling support. In formulating the rankings, AffordableCollegesOnline.org only considered public, not-for-profit institutions and looked at the following factors: regional accreditation, in-state tuition and fees, percent of full-time undergraduate students receiving institutional financial aid, number of online programs offered, and student-to-teacher ratio. http://www.affordablecollegesonline.org
