ORU Alumnus Eric Watt Works to Reach the Unreached
Eric Watt received his bachelor’s degree from ORU in 1984, and ever since, his life
and ministry have made an incredible difference.
Today, Watt is both the senior pastor with Greenbrier Church in Chesapeake, Virginia, and the founder and president of Reaching Unreached Nations (RUN), an organization dedicated to bringing the revelation of God and His kingdom to unreached people.
Through RUN, Eric also founded The Nepali Rescue Project, which works to free children and women from sex slavery, restore their safety and dignity, and put them on the path to self-sufficiency.
“Though I graduated from ORU more than 30 years ago, I carry in my mind, body, and spirit the truths that were imparted to me during that important season,” Watt said. “They have carried me through the mountaintop experiences and times of deep trial.”
Since 1990, Watt has been instrumental in equipping and providing training materials to more than two million first-generation Christian leaders living among the unreached.
“I was taught to pursue and embrace truth at all costs; to live with reckless abandon regarding my faith, guided by the power of God’s Word, and the clear, gentle voice of His Spirit,” he said.
His wife Becky is also active in international missions. They have two children, Ian and Kiersti.
