ORU Alumnus Matt Steele Receives Academy Award for “Frozen”
Oral Roberts University alumnus Matt Steele received an Academy Award on Sunday, March 2, 2014. Steele, a 1997 Commercial Art graduate, was a member of the animation team that was recognized in the Animated Feature Film category for “Frozen.”
Steele has worked for some of the best animation studios in the country including DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks and Walt Disney Animation Studios. He has also worked on a long list of films including “Kung Fu Panda,” “Green Lantern,” “Shark Tale,” “Bee Movie,” “How to Train your Dragon,” “Wreck-it Ralph” and “Frozen.”
