Tulsa, OK – Oral Roberts University is committed to creating a thriving global culture within the university and to that end, ORU President Dr. William M. Wilson has announced a new position to serve that purpose.
Dr. Kevin Schneider will serve as the Executive Director of ORU’s Office of Global
Service. He has taught courses in the University’s College of Business, coordinated
international academic activities, and led a healing team to Brazil the past two years.
“Dr. Schneider has extensive experience in international relations and business making him a perfect fit for this job”, said Dr. Wilson. “As he leads this office, ORU students will develop a new sensitivity and awareness to the needs of the world and the University will expand access to international students interested in a Spirit-empowered education.”
Dr. Schneider will coordinate Study Abroad Programs, Healing Teams and an Intercultural Experience for all graduates. He will oversee the International Student Center, Global Awareness Events on Campus as well as Global Sensitivity. Dr. Schneider will also assist the Office of the Provost in Global Partnerships.
“Connecting a worldwide audience to ORU educational opportunities is vital to the university’s future,” said ORU Provost Dr. Kathaleen Reid-Martinez. “We already have international alumni impacting the world with God’s healing. As our alumni base grows around the world, we hope to establish collaborative access partnerships to develop learning communities on every continent. Dr. Schneider’s international academic experience will allow us to do that.”
Dr. Schneider earned his Doctorate in Business Administration in Strategic Planning from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He earned his Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology at ORU.
He has worked at numerous financial institutions including UBS Financial Services and Ameriprise Financial. He also spent time in 2003 and 2004 working in Kabul, Afghanistan in the Ministry of Finance as a Grant Fund Analyst Assistant and as a Strategic Impact Consultant for National Development.
