“Improving student success and increasing job placement rates are key elements of ORU’s 5 Year Adaptive Plan,” said ORU President Dr. William M. Under Dr. Matviuk’s leadership, ORU is also seeing historic numbers in its placement rates with more than 90% of students accepting employment or continuing with their education. That compares to the national average of only 82%.
Dr. Matviuk brings a wealth of education experience and expertise to the position. He came to ORU from Regent University, where he served as executive director of global affairs. He has 20 years of leadership experience in education and nonprofits. He has led educational programs in 14 countries allowing him to gain extensive international and cross-cultural experiences. Dr. Matviuk earned his doctorate in organizational leadership at Regent University.
“I’m honored to take on this new role at ORU,” said Dr. Matviuk. “My team has been working hard to make sure all students succeed in ORU’s whole person education and that they are prepared to go to the uttermost bounds of the earth and bring God’s healing to the world.”
