Tulsa, OK – Oral Roberts University will host the 8th annual Whole Person Indoor Triathlon Saturday and Sunday February 18 and 19, 2017 at the ORU Aerobics Center. Individuals will compete on Saturday, 3-person teams on Sunday.

“The Super Sprint Triathlon is perfect for first time triathletes while still being a challenge for seasoned athletes,” said Julie Dunn, Aerobic Center Director. “Every year we have a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members ranging in age from 8 to 77 years old.”

The first heat on Saturday starts at 8:00am and will continue every 20 minutes throughout the day until 3:40pm. The event consists of a 400M swim, 10K bike ride and 2.5K run. Athletes swim down and back four times in the 50-meter pool, head upstairs to bike on Schwinn AC Sport Spin bikes, and then run 10 laps on the indoor track.

Sunday’s heats for the three member teams start at 2pm and 2:30pm.

Prizes will be awarded to the Top Overall Male and Female, Best Swim, Best Bike, Best Run as well as Top Male and Female in each age group.
