ORU's Exciting Growth

Tulsa, OK – Oral Roberts University announced today exciting new growth in its student
enrollment, its global reach and retention rates.
The University’s fall enrollment grew by nearly 7% bringing the fall 2016 enrollment
to 3,852. "This represents the largest increase year to year in our recent history,"
said ORU President William M. Wilson. "This is our largest incoming class at ORU in
over a decade with 940 students."
ORU is also excited to have 90 nations represented in its student body (see the list
below). This is a growth of nearly 6% from last fall’s nation count of 85. This speaks
to the mission of ORU: sending students to the uttermost bounds of the earth, from
the uttermost bounds of the earth.
Every university tracks student retention as one of their key metrics. “Our fall to fall freshman student retention rate is 83% making it the 7th year in a row we’ve been over 80%. This is a positive indicator of our growth,” said Dr. Nancy Brainard, Vice President of Admissions and Enrollment.
