Our faculty are making a difference:
- Ardith Baker recently published an article, titled “Teaching Quality Control with Chocolate Chip Cookies” in the Teaching Statistics journal. This article earned her the Peter Holmes’ award and was re-published in Europe in the journal "Stochastik in der Schule"
- David Burkus was recognized in the annual “40 Under 40: Professors Who Inspire” by Nerdwallet.com’s Financial Literacy and Education site for his outstanding work with students.
- David Burkus co-authored an article in the Journal of Business Ethics titled “Exploring the Socio-Moral Climate in Organizations: An empirical examination of determinants, consequences, and mediating mechanisms.”
- David Burkus has had ten articles published by the Harvard Business Review online publication within the last year.
- David Dyson and Professor Ray Gregg presented a “Best in Region” paper, titled “Play It Again: Repeats, Tweets and Flips” at the ACBSP annual conference.
- Ray Gregg has a “flipped classroom” approach that has engaged over 915,000 YouTube views and 8,400 subscribers
- Rebecca Gun co-authored an article titled “Faith Integration in the Classroom” in Christian Academy Review.
- James Russell is publishing weekly in “Ministry Today”, an online publication on economics with Kingdom emphasis. At last count his work is receiving 200,000 daily hits!

- Rebecca Gunn completed her D.B.A. in Marketing from Anderson University. Congratulations, Dr. Gunn!
- Bill Elliott has now earned his Certified Management Accountancy (CMA). Congratulations, Mr. Elliott!
- George Gillen is celebrating 50 years at ORU this Fall as a founding faculty and was selected as the COB Outstanding Faculty member for 2015
- Ardith Baker was selected as the COB Scholar of the Year for 2015
