ORU Theatre Presents The Oedipus Cycle

Oral Roberts University Theatre will present The Oedipus Cycle by Sophocles Oct. 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. in Howard Auditorium on the ORU campus.

Bringing an innovative approach to a timeless play, The Oedipus Cycle is three plays - Oedipus Rex, Oedipus at Colonus and Antigone - performed as one, and effectively recreating the atmosphere of an ancient Greek theatre. Directed by ORU alumnus and faculty member Chris Crawford, this production depicts the story of Oedipus, king of Thebes, and the contrast between the heroes and villains who rule the earth and the common men and women trying simply to survive.
