Suzanne has been an educator for over 30 years and has taught at the high school and college level. She is currently an adjunct professor in the Computer Science and Mathematics department at ORU.
She received her education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She met her husband, Marc, at Tulsa Roughnecks game. After they married, she completed a master’s degree at NSU.
She and Marc have four children. All four are active in sports so you’ll find the family in the gym or on the soccer/football fields every chance they get. Their two daughters played or will play women’s soccer at ORU. Their oldest son is a chiropractor in Broken Arrow. The youngest son is in high school.
Suzanne has written and edited mathematics curriculum for over 15 years and owns her curriculum development firm. The company writes, edits, and copyedits mathematics textbooks for major textbook companies for print and online. It is possible that if you’ve used a math book in the last 15 years her firm may have written the lessons or assessment items.
Suzanne and Marc are committed to Christian education and they both have taught and coached at Christian schools. They attend church at The Assembly in Broken Arrow. She says that one of the most wonderful aspects of teaching at ORU is sharing the Word, praying with, and encouraging her students in the Lord.
She loves to hike with her family, and she has found that makes her a dendrophile.
