Dr. Rob Corser joined the faculty of Oral Roberts University in 2018. He has a Bachelor
of Music from Dallas Baptist University and a Master’s and a Doctorate degree in Music
Composition both from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
While in graduate school, Dr. Corser taught as an adjunct professor in the music department
at Dallas Baptist University. In 2003, He began teaching at The King’s University
in Los Angeles, California, where he served in a full-time capacity for six years.
He joined the faculty of Valor Christian College in Columbus, Ohio in August of 2011
where he served as Professor of Music until 2017.
Dr. Corser is also an ordained minister of The Foursquare Church and has served in
many roles in churches in Texas, California, New Mexico, Ohio and Oklahoma. He has
also traveled with ministry teams to Austria, Germany and Nicaragua. Some of his instrumental
arrangements have been published by Light of the World Music Publishing.
At ORU Dr. Corser instructs students in composition and music theory and oversees the Music Composition program, which has concentrations in film scoring and music production. He loves to help students discover their creative process and encourage them to express their ideas through their works. When he is not teaching or composing music, Dr. Corser enjoys traveling and spending time hiking or biking with his family or just relaxing with a good cup of coffee with his beautiful and brilliant wife, Erica and their amazing daughter, Brynn.
