Dr. Rebecca Attah is currently an Associate Professor of Finance at ORU. Her main areas of expertise are in Banking Operations, Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management, Strategic Management, Global Business Sustainability, and Financial Reporting.
She previously taught at the University of Professional Studies in Accra (UPSA), Ghana. As a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at UPSA, she translated her rich professional experience in Banking and Finance in developing relevant courses that offered students’ practical training in the field. Rebecca was one of the Consultant-Trainers on Collaborative and Effective Learning Techniques for the TRAPPER program. This was a collaborated effort by UPSA, The Royal Netherlands Government and The Hague University of the Netherlands.
Prior to joining academia, she worked as a Program Manager and new employees’ orientation Instructor at Arizona Health Care Contract Management Services. She has also served as Operations Specialist at Wells Fargo Bank and Charles Schwab Investment Bank LLC. Prior to leaving for the USA, she worked as a Senior Loan Officer for the Women’s World Bank Ltd in Ghana.
Rebecca earned her Doctorate in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance at Walden University. She obtained her BS degree at the University of Ghana, MS in Agricultural Economics at the University of Idaho and MBA in Finance at Western International University.
She is a staunch Christian and actively participate in her local church. She enjoys exploring the Bible, sharing knowledge, traveling, exercising and spending time with her family.
