program Overview

Now is your time. Step up to lead. Step up to serve. These dynamic programs provide the whole person leadership training required to meet the challenging demands of today's schools. 

Designed for the working educator, classes are taught in a hybrid, modular format consisting of 2½ days of face-to-face sessions, Thursday evening through Saturday afternoon, accompanied by online pre- and post-assignments. Fall sessions are held in September, October, and November; spring sessions are held in January, February, March, and April.  

Oral Roberts University offers five distinct Master's programs to help fulfill your professional goals:

M.Ed. in Christian School Administration

This comprehensive program, offered from a Christian worldview, will prepare you to lead at the building level in a K-12 administrative position in a Christian school. If desired, this program will prepare you to successfully complete state certification, as well as the nationally recognized Performance Assessment for School Leaders (PASL) exam offered by ETS®. PASL certification provides unique recognition of your ability to effectively use change strategies at the building level.   

A Master of Education in Christian School Administration degree will enable you to:

  • Critically and constructively evaluate the philosophical foundation of various issues and systems from a Christian worldview
  • Develop and communicate an inspiring vision using a variety of research methods and communication strategies
  • Analyze the change process of your organization and implement various strategies for leading change
  • Develop, implement and evaluate equitable leadership policies and systems to ensure that each stakeholder is treated fairly, with an understanding of culture and context
  • Lead ethically in personal conduct, relationships, decision-making, and resource stewardship

M.Ed. Christian School Administration Degree Plan Sheet


M.Ed. in Public School Administration

This comprehensive program, offered from a Christian worldview, will prepare you to lead at the building level in a K-12 administrative position in a public school. M.Ed. in Interdisciplinary Studies

Many careers today require leaders to blend industry-specific skills with the ability to mentor, instruct, and manage a variety of teams and people. This dynamic program will equip you to lead, teach, and work with organizations and individuals outside the traditional school system. It uniquely offers you the flexibility to specialize in your area of interest by taking 5 courses (15 semester hours) in another College at the graduate level.  

Graduate-level classes from other Colleges may be taken in areas such as business, intercultural studies, pastoral care, practical theology, biblical studies, and professional counseling. Class schedules and delivery method will differ by College. 

A Master of Education in Interdisciplinary Studies degree will enable you to:

  • Critically and constructively evaluate the philosophical foundation of various issues and systems from a Christian worldview
  • Develop and communicate an inspiring vision using a variety of research methods and communication strategies

Master of Arts in Teaching with Alternative Certification

Master of Arts in Teaching with Licensure

Are you ready for a career change to develop your ability to teach and influence the next generation? Acquire the strategies and skills you need to teach in the K-12 classroom from a Christian worldview. This hands-on program completes most coursework in the first year, allowing you to focus your second year on student teaching and developing effective communication strategies for educational leaders.  

Classes are delivered in a face-to-face format of 15-week semesters, with classes meeting at least once per week.  

A Master of Arts in Teaching with Licensure degree will enable you to:

  • Critically and constructively evaluate the philosophical foundation of various issues and systems from a Christian worldview
  • Effectively use technology to differentiate instruction, learning, and assessment for a diverse range of students
  • Enhance classroom instruction and assessment using proven theories and principles
