Bachelor of Science in
Public Relations and Advertising
Oral Roberts University’s Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Public Relations and Advertising program empowers you through critical thinking, creativity and ethical decision-making. You’ll experience hands-on training in corporate strategy, media management and marketing communication. Research, writing and technology-rich courses in digital photography, video and graphic design give you the tools to create and manage social media content, websites and promotional campaigns.
Relationships you build through the program will guide you to the kind of work you want to do. Many students refine their skills in paid, work-study opportunities in Student Association, Athletics, Alumni Relations, Conference and Event Services, and Student Media. You'll even complete a 15-week professional internship along the way.
Students may choose to join ORU's National Student Advertising Competition team to work on a national client campaign (The ORU team finished 7th nationally in 2018!). This experience has launced recent grads into national and global careers with such companies as Nike, Target, Warner Brothers and RX Bar, along with national nonprofits and major ministries.
The Public Relations and Advertising program develops Holy Spirit-empowered leaders and culture change-agents, professionals ready to impact the world for Christ.
